As a teacher, I look forward to the Dogs Days of summer! I love to lounge in the pool with the kids while still receiving a paycheck!! I have SO many fond memories of summertime growing up. I remember being on my grandmother's couch, covered up (yes with a blanket in JUNE) and the ac blaring while eating homemade ice cream. Summer nights were filled with swinging in the backyard with my grandmother singing songs, such as Found a Peanut!
I hope my boys have memories such as these when they are my age looking back at their childhood. My one wish is for them to have such a wonderful childhood as I did!!
